Doula Services
While having a doula at your birth cannot guarantee a specific outcome, it can improve the overall satisfaction you feel about your labor and birth experience. As a mother of two and an educator, I understand the importance of individuals feeling aware of their choices and how this develops confidence in their decision making abilities. It is my goal to help you feel confident in your abilities to labor and give birth and to support you mentally, emotionally and physically throughout the process.
As your doula, I will not tell you what choices to make, but I will work with you to ensure that you understand labor progression, pain management options, and the purpose and impacts of common medical interventions. In advance of your labor, we will work together to explore your birth preferences and how I can best support you in achieving a satisfying birth.
*During the COVID-19 pandemic, all doula packages listed below can be offered as hybrid support for hospital births at hospitals restricting labor support: prenatal and postpartum visits can be virtual or in-person (client’s choice), in-home labor support is provided if desired, and virtual birth support would begin once the client is admitted to the hospital.
If your hospital is permitting doulas, I am providing in-person support.
The Comprehensive
birth package

Especially recommended for first-time parents, VBAC clients, clients managing anxiety, clients with prior traumatic birth experiences, clients who are only taking a hospital-provided childbirth education course, those with limited postpartum support in place, and anyone else seeking a comprehensive doula package that provides support from the prenatal days to the postpartum period.

Recommended for anyone seeking prenatal preparation, continuous labor and birth support, and postpartum guidance. Ideal for clients who are taking additional childbirth education classes and have a good working relationship with their pregnancy and birth provider.

The birth basics package

Primarily recommended for clients who have had one or more positive birth experiences previously, for clients searching for a doula at 36 weeks or later, and/or for clients who have a strong postpartum support network. If finances are the only factor leading you to this package, please reach out to discuss a package that is a match for your financial means.
